Description
Tycho Brahe was an influential sixteenth century Danish astronomer whose work introduced empirical observation to the study of the heavens. Brahe's work included a detailed description of the movements of the planet Mars and an overwhelmingly accurate map of the positions of well over seven hundred fixed stars. Despite adhering to a traditional geocentric model of the universe, Brahe's discoveries provided a foundation for the work of many future astonomers, including Kepler and Galileo.Actions
