Hanover — Not random
Triggered by
Action B of
3038 - The Hanoverian Succession for
England
Description
Though the 1701 Act of Succession in England forbade Catholics from taking the throne, it seems that the exiled Prince of Wales, James Stuart, has decided that 'Londres ne vaut bien une messe' and is now offering to convert to the Anglican faith in exchange for being restored to the line of succession. By doing so he has completely scuppered our dynasty's chances of succeeding Queen Anne. Though England will likely avoid a return to Catholicism, it seems the continuation of the Stuart dynasty is assured - at least for now.
